Day 5

Breakfast: Buffalo shrimp salad. I’ve been wanting to try this for a while. I thought it was alright, but the husband decidedly liked it. Lunch: turkey with roasted butternut squash and asparagus. There’s a picture of this in yesterday’s post. Didn’t get one today because I was honestly so hungry that the thought didn’t cross my mind. Dinner: smorgasbord including beef, okra, carrots, cantaloupe, olives and brussel sprout hash. Unpictured snack: freeze-dried bananas, regular banana, and pistachios

Thoughts: I had to watch and smell my family eat pizza today. The horrors! Thankfully, my little nephew finished eating early and asked me to play arcade games with him. Man, weekends on Whole 30 are a true test. Didn’t enjoy a lot of the food I ate today. It’s like my brain was saying, “Ok seriously, this has been fun and all but I’m over it”. Thank goodness family dinner was a success.
This too shall pass…
